I participated in the Spanking from A-Z blog challenge, hosted by Celeste Jones and Spanking Romance Reviews, last year. It was certainly a challenge, but it was fun. By the end I felt accomplished but also a little burnt out and I sort of convinced myself I would not be participating again.
The universe works in mysterious ways. I busted up my ankle and I am finding myself with far more time on my computer than I had before. And hey, I am a glutton for punishment, so why not sign myself up again?
Let's start with A, it's a very good place to start.
In the last few months I have felt too busy to catch my breath- which is why I say the universe works in mysterious ways because I am now getting lots of work done.
I forgot an integral day though, in late April I passed by my second Authorversary without any mention at all. I saw it was coming up, and then it passed.
I published my first book Catch a Falling Star on April 17, 2013. It was a scary moment, but it was also a defining moment.
A lot has happened since that day we hit publish. It is a day that should be celebrated, so I figured better late than never.
Here is a little snippet from Mac and Luke's first date. She may have found herself a spanker!
Before Luke fully realized what he was doing his hand smacked down on the back of her short skirt. The resounding slap seemed to echo off the quiet apartment's walls. He didn't let go of Mac's wrist but he held his breath waiting for her reaction. Luke expected for her to unleash a fury on him, that he fully deserved, and throw him out the door.
After what seemed like an eternity Mac turned her head and looked him in the eyes. Surprise and amusement danced across her face. “You think I need a spanking?” she asked in a throaty whisper.
Before Luke could respond she pulled her wrist from his grasp, she was halfway across the small apartment before she threw a glance at him over her shoulder and laughed, “You'll have to catch me first.”
That was all the invitation Luke needed.
Mac is still trying to put the pieces of her life back together ever since her ex boyfriend fled the country with the contents of her bank account. Luke Summers, Hollywood heartthrob, literally slams into her life minutes after she's fired from her job as a writer on a sitcom. Luke is immediately drawn to Mac and begins to pursue her, but she feels like she's too much of a mess for anyone to take on.
Will Luke be able to convince Mac to let down her guard and let him in?
Will Mac surrender to Luke's dominant ways and let him help her put her life back together?
Catch a Falling Star is a romantic comedy featuring a strong, stubborn woman and the domineering movie star trying to capture her heart. It also includes a bit of spanking and some good sexy fun.

Make sure you check out some other A-Zers!
Happy authorversary Casey! I'm glad life has slowed down for you not so much for your busted up ankle. Looking forward to more glimpses into what you've written over those years:)
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteHappy Authorversary! Has it only been two years? It seems like you've been writing for much longer. You've accomplished a lot. A is also for Accomplishments!
ReplyDeleteSome days it feels longer and some days I still feel like a newbie. Thank you!
DeleteHappy authorversary!
ReplyDeleteI love that Catch a Falling Star! Only the other day, I was thinking "What was that story where there were chimp brothers working in a garage?" before remembering that it was this one. I have no idea what kicked that train of thought off.
Note to anyone who hasn't read Catch a Falling star yet: There are NO ACTUAL ANTHROPOMORPHIZED CHIMPS in this book. That would be a very weird thing to have in an erotic spanky novel. (One of the characters works for a TV company at the beginning of the book and that's one of their shows.)
